We want to keep everyone safe and healthy at class.

Below are a few of the measures we have brought in for face to face classes during the Covid-19 pandemic.

✶ Face to face classes only run when permited by the department for DCMS.

✶ Attendance is tracked for test and trace services.

✶ QR codes available for those using the NHS Covid-19 app.

✶ Members asked to bring hand sanitiser to class. Sanitiser is available for those who forget.

✶ No hugs, high 5s or fist bumps. Members asked to maintain social distancing before and after class.

✶ Under 18's can resume training at phase 2 of the contact combat sports framework. Over 18's can resume at phase 2 of the contact combat sports framework, though all classes for over 18's must take place outdoors.

✶ Equipment cleaned between uses.

✶ Mats cleaned after each class.

✶ Class sizes limited so members can maintain social distancing.

✶ No spectators. Parents are asked to wait in vehicles or in the local area.

✶ No changing room facilities. Toilets are open, but members asked to come ready for class.

✶ Adapted curriculum. Those who have maintained their training via Zoom deserve to have this recognised. During the Covid-19 pandemic, our syllabus has been adapted and partner drills have been replaced with solo sparring drilling.

✶ Doors remain open to increase ventilation.

✶ Adults asked to wear face coverings before and after class. (Including parents who help set up for class.)

✶ Members asked to bring basic first aid items to self treat any minor injuries. Instructors will wear PPE before treating more serious injuries.
