JUNIOR TKD

Ages 8-13. Taekwon-do is the world's most popular martial art. There are various forms of taekwon-do and the one we teach is dynamic, fun and suitable for complete beginners.

We expect students who have been with us for a while to develop leadership skills, be welcoming and set a good example to new members.

We strive to develop a culture of hard work, perseverance and support. The young black belts in our club are always helping others to achieve their goals and, under the supervision of instructors, develop communication skills by leading small groups and delivering warm-ups.

Our instructors are enthusiastic, friendly black belts with years of martial arts experience, public liability insurance and clear, enhanced DBS checks. They try to blend the traditional side of martial arts with a relaxed, modern approach to coaching.

An average class begins with a group warm-up followed by line work to prepare us for belt tests. We then usually play a few games before the best part - hitting pads or sparring drills!

For you trail session, your child will need a bottle of water and comfortable clothing. Most new starters wear PE kit or t-shirt and leggings.

"My daughter is having a blast at taekwon-do. The other children in the class have been incredibly welcoming. What a lovely group!"

“I’m very glad my son has taekwon-do in his life. The black belts are such positive role models, teaching much more than just self-defence."

“My children are thrilled to have their new belts. It's great to see how much confidence they’ve gained in such a short time. Thank you."
